Exact
- Decimal
- 2.75 bd ft
- Each piece
- 2 3/4 bd ft
How it works
A board foot is 144 cubic inches: a piece 1 in thick, 12 in wide and 12 in long. The volume isthickness × width × length ÷ 144 with all three in inches (a length in feet is multiplied by 12), times the number of pieces.
Enter the sizes of the boards you will buy. The cost is the exact volume times your price, rounded to the cent and marked “≈” when it is rounded.
Example: one board 3/4 in × 5 1/2 in × 96 in is exactly 2 3/4 bd ft (0.75 × 5.5 × 96 ÷ 144).
